This report is not confirmed, but I believe it because it comes from several normally trustworthy sources. The crux of it is that Iran informed Turkey in advance of its planned operation against Israel. A Turkish diplomatic source told Reuters on Sunday that Biden had told to Tehran via Ankara that any action it took had to be "within certain limits."
The Turkish source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had spoken to both his US and Iranian counterparts in the past week to discuss the planned Iranian operation, adding Ankara had been made aware of developments.
Turkey is essentially a dictatorship, so I’m not altogether certain if it has any validity. But I do believe President Joe Biden would have done this. Iran was telegraphing the strikes, which were executed in retaliation for an Israeli airstrike that killed two Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps generals earlier this month.
Everyone knew this was coming, and Joe Biden still went on vacation this weekend. That’s bad enough—allegedly telling the Iranians that they could attack but “within certain limits” is far from unbelievable and a dereliction of duty by the commander-in-chief.
My belief in this is based on Biden’s past performance in global affairs. He is weak and feckless. Remember Obama’s supposed remark: “Never underestimate Biden’s ability to f--- thinks up.”
